To the Captian and Co-Captian, great crew that you have there. They look like the original cast members. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
We would sure like to know Who’s Who’s from Gillingans Island, although we have a pretty good ideal. I vote JERRY for Gilligan what does everyone else think? We had a wonderful time. Part of the Gilligan crew.
Commodore and Ms Woo,
In Key West there is an excellent Italian restaurant on Duval Street, La Trattoria. I think you would enjoy. Sounds like you are having an excellent adventure. Not sure how you are making it without my help though. Keep everything polished and we’ll talk soon. David, Krystye and David James (aka, Indiana Jones).
Trip sounds great. WATCH THE WEAHER WHEN YOU HEAD FORR THE KEYS.
Next weekend the Jan E XXIII heads to the Field Club for a long weekend with a group from BYC. If you make it this far by then you are welcome.
Have a great.
Love to you and your mate.
Bill and Jan
It sure looks like a fun trip and some good memories from the last time we traversed that area in the Moon Struck. Keep moving along and it won’t be too long before we see you in God’s country.
Capt. Bill of the Jan-e XXIII
Don, thanks for the invite to see and read about your wonderful adventures. My respect for you just keeps rising. Continue to enjoy each beautiful day and all your fine friends.
Bon voyage(s), Randall
HI lou lou ! you are the bestest grandmother EVER! I LOVE the necklace and earrings from Charelston! hope you and Don have a GREAT time on your next trip!!!!
Lots of love ,
Lou & Don,
We are friends of Pat & Warren Shafer. They e-mailed your web-site and we are enjoying your trip updates and photos. We are traveling the ICW slowly in a Grand Alaskan Trawler “Song of the Sea”. We are currently in Jekyll Island GA waiting for the weather to settle before we head on through Florida on our way to Ft. Myers. Looks like you are just a bit behind us but you’ll probably catch up soon. Our e-mail is email@example.com and you can read our trip updates on the Royal Palm Yacht Club Web-site. http://www.rpyc.com click on Activities and then on the photo of the stern of Sog of the Sea. Give us a shout if you get close and maybe we can meet. We’re going to try and leave Jekyll tomorrow for St. Augustine.

Good morning again….By the way, the comment above was from Linda. I am only working on my first cup of coffee after a hard 70 hr. work week!!!!
Good morning to the crew of MOONSTRUCK! It seems you have certainly earned your points as you made this fun journey down the ICW. All hands on board and no mutiny. I’m impressed. Lou, are you the official co-captain yet? Keep sending these great pictures. It brings back memories of some of my favorite places. Annapolis, Charleston, quaint towns and great food. Hard to find a better area to enjoy.
We will continue to follow you as you return to Hilton Head and look so forward to seeing you. We are ready to play!!!!!
It appears Crete has great scenery, great food, and numerous ancient ruins. When I visit I’m going to rent a motorbike and hire a local woman to ride behind me as a Guide.Don Wallis
Hey Guys, Glad you made it home safely. I really enjoyed reading about your trip and the pictures were awesome. I know this is a trip to remember. Betty
Welcome home. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. It seems that you really went native. Linda and I look forward to seeing you and hearing all about your trip. Oh, by the way!! Did Lou by chance “just sit there and look pretty” for a Greek God type harbormaster (or reasonable facsimile) anywhere along the way?
Captain Don and Lou,
We are anxious to see pictures and stories of Greece. We had such a good time there in the past that I would like to go back sometime soon. Beware of the dogs.
We got our boat back yesterday with an newly painted bottom and the hull sides and top have been buffed so she looks like new.
Jan and Bill
Don- I’ve enjoyed your site. Looks like you are having fun.
Hey Guys, Thanks for all the awesome pictures of one of my favorite places. I know you are having a GRAND time. I would show you candid shots of my week at the hospital, but I would have to call Ripley’s Believe It Or Not to get permission!!!!! Lou, I really do think some of this sounds like WORK….. However, the rest of it could be the incredible voyage!!!! Have a safe trip and we’ll see you soon…..Linda
A Gibson – NO WAY! Don, I’m sure you remember the one Butch’s “Nana” owned…..too funny, but how gentlemanly to let them pass. Sounds like y’all are more than enjoying the trip, have a good one home, and I hope to see you soon. ann
Don and Lou,
Sounds like ya’ll are having great fun. Can’t believe Don is still trying to use that “this is yachting” bull…BTW, Moonstruck looks great…must be a whole lot of polishing going on. Oxford sounds wonderful…hope to go there one day. See you soon. DD
Love the pictures, and the two viewpoint descriptions are the best! Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey. Lou, I understand you just have to be sure and use a lot of napkins for the crab balls….. see you guys (maybe Charleston)
Ann (Mom of the Miles Clan)
That was a trip of a life time! I am so glad that both of you shared the pictures and the trip with me. What a way to go!! Martha T.
Captain Don and Lou,
Thanks for sharing your adventure! I felt almost as if I were on board with the descriptions (I could feel the push of the following seas) and pictures (atta girl, Lou, nice job)! As your insurance guy, special thanks for not running aground at Hell’s Gate. I’m looking forward to meeting Lou soon but feel like I already know her now.
Just this morning, I was Good Poems for Hard Times, a collection of Garrison Keillor, and read this just before getting Don’s email:
…”If someone could stop the camera then…
if someone could only stop the camera
and ask me: are you happy?
perhaps I would have noticed
how the morning shone in the reflected
color of lilac. Yes, I might have said
and offerred a steaming cup of coffee.”

Somehow these words just seem to tie right in with yours in the telling of your trip.
Bravo Capt. Don & Lou.
Good morining! I am glad you have reached your destination safely. Glad you both are enjoying the trip and everything seems to have run smoothly. Lot of Love, Sherry
You finally learned that knot! YAY! I’m sure you practiced hard! Now you have to teach me! have fun! love, Hannah
(oh, aliya says hi!)
Dear Don and Lou, Gene and Sue plus four friends from FL visited us at the cabin in GA last Sat. We had a great time. We hope that you and Don will be in the area over the 4th. Would love to see you. I have enjoyed your web sight. It sounds like you are having a wonderful trip. Love, Terry and Cheryle
I have really enjoyed the pictures and update of your trip, I know you are almost at the end of your journey, I’m so glad it was fun and the weather was nice, see you when you get home!!! Love Betty
Don and Lou, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to share a portion of your excellent adventure. 500 miles went by too quickly…now it’s back to the real world for me. The trip was interesting and educational but most of all a lot of fun. Still can’t believe how quickly those big Yanmars make Moonstruck get up and go. Some great memories and as always when boating with the MASTER I learned a lot. Dinner at “Marker 20” was a great way to end the day and the trip. Really enjoyed meeting Norm and Kathy Blinn…it’s true you really do meet the nicest people on the water. Hope the good weather continues for you the rest of your trip. Happy Cruising, David Dalton
Hey Lou and Don, sounds and looks like you have having the trip of a lifetime. I check out the website each day to catch up with your trip. I love it! Be safe and have fun and think about us poor working folks every once in a while. With Love, Sherry
Don, and Lou,
It sounds like you have had a great trip so far. I’m surprised that you got to the Hamptons so soon. We will be coming right next to there on Friday afternoon. We leave early tomorrow to drive to Florence, SC and then up through Nrofolk to cross over and under the Chesapeak . We shoud be in Georgetown, DE about 5PM. Faster but not as much fun as your journey.
Bill and Jan
I loved the picture of Cumberland Island! maybe on your next trip you could camp there for a night or two — it is quite lovely! Keep posting Lou Lou, and have fun!!
Hi LouLou and Don. I hope you are having a wonderful time. The pictures are so nice. Barry and I have really enjoyed following your trip. It’s almost like we are there with you. Uh, not really, but we will pretend. Stay safe and enjoy your trip. Keep posting.
Jan and Barry
Hi to the both of you. We are having a wonderful time in your house. WE shopped until we dropped and then went to dinner and then when to Hobby Lobby. WE are just getting ready for bed and tomorrow we are heading for the mountains to visit Terry and Cheryl. Wish you and Don were here with us.
Sue, Gene, Cheryl, Bill, Lynda and Phil
Love seeing and hearing about your trip. Looks like your haveing a great time. I will continue to check your updates. With Love, Sherry
This is the neatest thing. I am so excited for you both. What FUN! This is a great website. I want to be there. I noticed the door to a wine cellar in one of the pictures. I’ll bet that’s on board -knowing Don. Your pictures are just wonderful. Have the time of your lives. Lou, I think that we are dancing.
Love, Dee and David (from the mountains).
I think Don has bicycles on his yacht that would save time on shore. I’m glad y’all are having a great time. This is Tim from the North Georgia Mtns. Great web site, have fun.
LOL. 2 hours/7 miles. At least you both were in good company! Did you have sea legs when you arrived? Photos are great – love the website. Sherry.
Jan and I can’t thank Don and Lou enough for the great trip we had with them. Unfortunately we had to terminate our cruise at St. Augustine yesterday and then rent a car and drive back to Palmetto, FL. What a downer after spending almost 5 days on that beautiful Saber that runs like a fine swiss watch. We really loved the time we spent with out two favorite friends. Don is a fine captain and Lou is a great “First Mate” (Co-Captain as she says) and handles lines like an old salt.
Thanks again Don and Lou for a great time.
Captain Bill and Jan Evans
I can tell this crew needs some shaping up….not to worry…Mr. Captain David Daddy Sir will be there soon to get things ship shape!!!!!
Hey Capt. Don & Lou. Glad to see your trip is going so well. We would love being on board with you guys. Have fun. We’ll talk with you soon. Capt. Ron & Linda
